Description: Single-stemmed, usually up to 4 m, sometimes 6 m tall plant; 40-50 up to 150 cm long, dull grey-green to glaucous, densely rosulate leaves, covered with reddish-brown prickles, dried leaves remaining on the stem; pungent, reddish-brown toothed margins; 80 cm erected, candelabra-shaped, yellow to orange to reddish-orange inflorescence with 10-30 branches. - Named after the botanist H.W. Rudolf Marloth.
