Description: Stemless or short-stemmed plant, grows in dense groups; 20-30 brownish green, 15-20 cm long, lanceolate leaves, forming rosettes, leaves with a lot of linear white spotting; reddish-brown, pungent toothed margins; 90 cm high, erected, club-shaped, dull red inflorescence with 4-7 branches. - Tends to hybridise in the wild with other species. - The Latin name "grandidentata" meaning "big teeth" refers to the long toothed margins.
