Description: Stemless, solitary or in small groups growing plant; 20-30 erected, slightly inward curved, rosettes forming, glaucous leaves with thorns on both surfaces; pungent dark brown toothed margins; up to 100 cm high, erected, with up to 6 branches, densely flowered inflorescence with dark brown antlers, and typically bi-colored, red towards the top and cream-yellow towards the base. - The sap of the leaves are used as a remedy to heal wounds and minor burns.
