Description: Solitary, stemless plant or creeping (up to 30 cm long) stem, then forming large clusters, stem covered with withered leaf remains; dense, spreading rosette of 30-60 cm long, dark-green, becoming flushed coppery red in dry conditions, lanceolate-attenuate leaves; reddish, brown-tipped toothed margins; up to 100 cm high, simple or sometimes one-branched, bright yellow or orange inflorescence with a central brown stripe.
