Single stemmed, 2-4 m high plant, covered with dead leaves; densely rosulate, deeply channelled, downwards recurved, lanceolate-attenuate, up to 160 cm long, dull green to glaucous leaves; reddish toothed margins with brownish-red border; 50-80 cm high, lemon-yellow to pale orange, very densely flowered inflorescence with 4-8 branches.
