Habitat in Israel:
Rocky and stony habitats with diffused desert vegetation, desert-transition batha, shrubland, margins of Mediterranean woodland and Tragacanth vegetation.
Description:
Bulbous plant, 5-15 cm tall. Bulb pear shaped, 4-6 cm across, covered by a thibk layer of dry tunics. The bulb splits and forms clumps. Leaves occur after bloom. Flowers large showy yellow, bell shaped.
