Description:
Herbaceous perennial from temperate climate and mountainous habitats, in most of Europe, temperate Asia and North-Africa. Single known site exists at Mt. Hermon in Israel.
Plant extract was used to curdle milk, as well as for fabric dying. Another use was to fill mattresses with dried plants, while taking advantage of their ability to deter fleas and other pests from the mattress, hence it's English common name "lady's bedstraw".
