Description: Mostly simple, solitarily growing plant or stemless or with a stem up to 2 m high; 20-40 erected, lanceolate-attenuate, greyish-green leaves, in dry conditions reddish; pungent, reddish-toothed margins; up to 150 cm high, pale orange to brownish-yellow or pink inflorescence. - The name "vryheidensis" has been derived from the town Vreiheid. - Synonym: Aloe dolomitica
