Description: 2-6 m high tree, covered with withered leaf remains; up to 100 cm long, recurved, deeply canaliculate, dull green leaves, prickles on the surface, forming a rosette at the stem apex; reddish-brown toothed margins; up to 100 cm high above the rosette bright glossy red to reddish-orange inflorescence with up to 6 widely upwards spreading branches
